REGISTRATION POLICY

Hospitality Policy

You can register either INDIVIDUALLY or AS A CONTINGENT

PLEASE NOTE THAT

  • All team members must carry a valid college ID card on the day of the event.
  • On-the-spot registrations will be permitted only if slots are available.
  • Use of offensive language, vulgarity, or profanity is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Obscenity in any form is not permitted.
  • Participants are expected to uphold good sportsmanship throughout the event.
  • The judges’ decision is final and binding, and no objections will be entertained.
  • Participants must arrange their own instruments, props, or equipment, unless otherwise specified.
  • The organizing team reserves the right to prohibit certain props or equipment if deemed unsafe.
  • While adhering to the theme of Symfiesta’25 is not mandatory, it will be appreciated.
  • Participants must be prepared to perform out of the scheduled order in case of unforeseen circumstances.
  • The competition schedule is fixed, and special requests for time changes will not be entertained, unless pre-approved by event heads.
  • Participants in multiple competitions must manage their own costume changes independently.
  • Rude, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour will result in disqualification.
  • All performances, artworks, and contributions may be photographed and used for media purposes.
  • The organizing team reserves the right to amend these rules if necessary, with due notice provided to participants.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. In order to participate in an event, registration is compulsory for everybody.

2. An individual registration is valid for one person only, and is non-transferable, except under special circumstances.

3. Any disagreement shall be dealt with the Administrator of the Public Relations team.

4. The decision of the Administrator shall be final and binding on the party.

5. SymFiesta reserves the right to change the program at any time. However, efforts shall be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy for Paid Registrants: Paid registrations are not refundable, except under special circumstances, as decided by the Administrator.

7. SymFiesta is concerned with the protection of your privacy. Your personal information is collected and saved for security reasons.

The terms and conditions are liable to be changed at any time at the sole discretion of the organizer or the ticketing company.

CONTINGENT POLICY

To encourage greater participation and ensure category-specific representation, Symfiesta’25 introduces a new contingent policy allowing contingents to participate in all events within their specific category at a reduced fee.

  1. Contingent Registration Fee:
  • A contingent registration fee will allow participation in all events within a specific category (e.g., all drama events for drama contingents, all dance events for dance contingents, all music events for music contingents).
  1. Category-Specific Participation:

Contingents must belong to a specific category, such as:

  • Drama Contingent: Eligible to participate in all drama-related events.
  • Dance Contingent: Eligible to participate in all dance-related events (both solo and group).
  • Music Contingent: Eligible to participate in all music-related events (both solo and group).
  1. Additional Event Participation:

Participation in events outside the contingent’s category will require separate individual registrations as per event.

  1. General Conditions:
  • Contingent registration applies only to official college contingents.
  • All participants under the contingent must be from the same college.
  • The contingent must declare its category during the registration process.
  • Any contingent opting for this policy can participate in all the events within their category without additional charges.
  • Changes to the chosen category post-registration will not be permitted.
  1. Other Policies:
  • Only one team/person from a contingent can participate in a single event within their category.
  • If additional participants from the same contingent wish to compete in the same event, they must register individually.
